I was in Las Vegas during the week of May 11-13th for a short trip and had some time to explore my city. I wanted to take a drone to photograph the city, so I settled on a Canon EOS 5D Mark III. With a little research, I was able to find a reputable drone operator and the one location he recommended for me was downtown Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas location was quite interesting, and I went out to explore it. The view didn’t disappoint. From the top of the Hoover Dam, you can get a lovely view of the city. Downtown Las Vegas is comprised of the Las Vegas Strip, City Center, and the surrounding area. The city center is actually split into three parts with two parts being the Strip and the other being the Las Vegas Convention Center and the third being the City Center Plaza.
As it turns out, the Las Vegas Convention Center is actually in the center of the city, but the City Center is far from it. For us, the place to go is the City Center, which is where the convention center is situated. The City Center is comprised of several areas, with the main area being the City Center Plaza. The Plaza is comprised of several levels, one of which being the City Center Mall.
The Plaza is actually a giant mall, with a number of different shops and restaurants. There is also a big convention space, the convention center, which houses a variety of conventions, including the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The City Center Plaza also houses the Las Vegas Convention Center, which houses both the Las Vegas Convention Center and the largest convention hall in the world, the Bellagio, which is the most famous convention hall in the world. The Bellagio is where the Las Vegas International Motor Show is held every year, it’s also where the annual Vegas Golden Knights hockey game is held, and where the World of Games is held every year.
The Bellagio has a high density of convention and business related business, so it is a desirable location for anyone wanting to shoot drone footage of convention halls, especially given its proximity to the Las Vegas Strip. Las Vegas is also home to the largest gathering of professional drone photographers in the world, the Las Vegas Drone Festival. The festival, which began in 2015, attracts over 1,000 drone enthusiasts from all over the world.
I love drones. I’ve been doing them since I was in elementary school, and I’ve been photographing them since I was in middle school. I’ve used my camera extensively for this type of photography, and I’m hoping to share this knowledge with others. For those that don’t know, a drone is a machine that can be controlled remotely, which means that you can control the machine in a way that a camera can’t.
Thats pretty much it. The photos are all from the same drone. Ive attached them to the video of one of the photographers below. Its a pretty cool use of drones to photograph the city instead of just snapping pictures of the tourist spots. Its also a good use of drones to photograph buildings, and other objects in the city. Its quite fun to photograph the architecture of a city when it is all covered in drone cameras.
The photo below shows the Las Vegas Strip, which I think is a really nice shot.
You’ll notice that our drone, a DJI Phantom 4, is flying in a wide arc toward the sunset. That’s because one of the photographers is also flying a drone to photograph the Las Vegas Strip. That is a very cool use of drones for photography. Of course, this is only the tip of the iceberg of what drones can do.
